Safe Summer Activities for Students
Let's make this a safe and memorable summer for every child in Chicago. Now, as we enter summer, it is important for us to keep our children learning and to keep them safe. When children are active in programs involving computers, the arts and sports, we keep them away from the dangers of gangs, guns and drugs. I ask you to involve your children in positive learning activities through your church or through programs offered by After School Matters, the Chicago Public Library and the Chicago Park district. Call 311 or visit the City's web site at www.cityofchicago.org for more information. Make sure you know where your children are at all times. Please, remember that curfew is enforced every night of the week, Sunday through Thursday from 10 PM to 6 AM and Friday and Saturday from 11 PM to 6 AM, for all children under the age of 17. Let's make this a safe and memorable summer for every child in Chicago.
