Smyser School is sponsoring a Walk-a-Thon on Friday, May 8th. The Smyser School Staff and the Smyser PTO are working together to encourage healthy lifestyles, exersize, and team work. The students will be walking laps around the back of school to raise money for Smyser. The proceeds raised by the Walk-a-Thon will be used to purchase new desks, computers, and much more. We are asking the students to collect pledges. If your child collects atleast $10.00 in pledges they will receive a Walk-a-Thon t-shirt. For every additional $10.00 pledged, the student will receive a raffle ticket, giving them a chance to win some great prizes. We are also looking for parent volunteers for this event, if you are available please contact Ms. Luczak @ 534-3780. Also, if you know any local business that may be interested in sponsoring this event, please contact the main office. There will be more information about this event sent home with the students this week.
