Let me begin by saying we are the best! Congratulations, on another awesome school year and ISAT performance.  We have reached a new Smyser Accelerated School high of 86% of our students meeting and exceeding state standards. This is a 1.6 percentage point increase as compared to 84.4% in 2006. This past year, I challenged us to build on our successes and to work towards closing the performance gap. Continued emphasis on professional learning communities, high quality literacy, critical thinking, writing, differentiated instruction, and meaningful assessments will help us insure that in the near future all students meet or exceed state standards. I thank you for your hard work. Through cooperation, resilience, excellence, creativity and dedication, we made phenomenal gains. Let’s keep the momentum moving forward.
